Easter Weekend

Before we could head out of town to Nana and Poppie's house, I got my Easter basket at home.

Poppie read MaKenna and me a book. We read lots of books over the weekend and lots of Bible stories. Did you know the reason we celebrate Easter is because Jesus is alive? My Bible says that he died on the cross, but that 3 days later he was alive again!

Then we went outside where Poppie let me help him plant squash in his garden. Thanks for letting me help!

Got to water the seeds. Ok, so maybe I missed!

Back inside to help Nana make cup cakes.

Then we dyed Easter eggs. Mommy made me take off my shirt because I was dropping the eggs in and splashing the colored water.

Mmmmm...Taste test

Then to Aunt Kaye and Uncle Warren's new house for the crawfish boil and Easter egg hunt.

This is the girls. (There aren't any boys yet, but we have at least one on the way!) Lexi, MaKenna, Khrissy, and me.

I couldn't wait to get into the beautiful cake Paula made.
We all liked to play in the sand pile. I had a problem getting there, though. I guess I'm a city girl or just a sissy girl as Mommy says. I don't like to walk barefoot or get my feet all dirty!

Easter morning we had to hunt the house to find our Easter baskets. Found mine!!

Time for Easter family portraits.

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend, too!

First Deposit

Well, we cleaned out my piggy bank and took the money to the real bank. It was my first deposit!

Easter Egg Hunt at School

My school had an Easter egg hunt on Saturday. Not many kids my age, well none, showed up. That means I had the whole area to myself! I cleaned up!

Grandpa's Birthday Weekend

We went to visit Gram and Grandpa for Grandpa's birthday. He let me help him make french toast for breakfast! It was YUMMY!!

Then we headed downtown to Trade Days. Chandler came out and met us there. We always have a great time together. We got to ride the train!

Posing with Grandpa
We worked up an appetite, so Grandpa went and got us corn dogs. We had fun eating at the fountain.

After nap time, everyone came over for the celebration. It was Aunt Pat's birthday, too. Billy took us on a boat ride. It sure was windy.
I helped Grandpa open his presents

A little R&R for the girls

I got my Easter Basket from Gram and Grandpa on Sunday. What else could it be??? Lipstick! I love lipstick!

I love my Gram and Grandpa!

Trip to the Aquarium

Over Spring Break, Mommy and Daddy took me to the Dallas Aquarium. It was lots of fun. Most of it is the rainforest.

This cool sawfish was in the shark tank. He swam right over my head!

Me and Daddy liked looking at the sting rays. It was like I could touch them.
This was my favorite of all...the flamingos! Mommy and Daddy couldn't get me away from them!
Look! I can even stand like a flamingo!

What a fun day!

Thank you AA and Grandpa for some pictures from my Birthday Party!!

Daddy started us all off with grilled burgers and dogs. Us kids all sat around my brand new picnic table that Gram and Grandpa brought me. I'm so glad my friend, Kara, from school came.

Later, we ate the delicious cake that Gram decorated with Dora's face for me. Thank you Gram!

Time for presents!!! I had so many that Daddy got frustrated with how long it was taking me, so he started helping.

I liked to take time to admire all my super cool gifts!

Thatcher mostly liked to play with the neighbors' puppies.

This is my big gift from Mommy and Daddy. It's my "park"! I love to play on it and so did everyone else at my party.

I got the coolest kitchen ever from Nana and Poppie! Everyone LOVED playing with it. My favorite thing to cook is french fries.

Thatcher likes to cook, too...or maybe he just likes to eat!
